Although the winner of America's 1st winner of the X-Factor was announced in December 2011, we could not help but acknowledge what God has done, and continues to do within Hollywood. Anyone who watched X-Factor knows what amazing talent was displayed, however the performances by Melanie Amaro were incredible. There were a number of her performances where the anointing of the Lord's Spirit came through the television.
Her story is one that shows what does not seem possible in our human minds, God shows that He is in control. Through watching her progression, hearing her story and seeing the love of Christ through her, she touched thousands, if not millions of lives. It was evident that she touched her mentor, Simon Cowell, to which we praise God for.
Melanie auditioned in Coral Gables, FL, made it to the Top 32 finalists, then she was eliminated by her mentor, Simon, therefore, she was not chosen to be part of the Top 16 finalists.
After 2 weeks, Simon Cowell surprised her at her home in Florida, inviting her back to the competition, admitting he had made a "huge mistake" in not including her. Melanie progressed to eventually become the winner of the X-Factor, giving glory to God. We give all glory to our God and His Son, for giving Melanie favor and ultimately winning the competition. She won a $5 million recording contract and now has signed with Sony Music label, Epic Records; she will be working alongside L.A. Reid at the label. 
Please continue to pray that the Lord's hand of protection keeps Melanie safe in the midst of Hollywood, that her faith will not fade but increase; that she will remain steadfast to the calling the Lord has placed upon her. Pray also that she will be a witness to continual thousands. Praise God...All things ARE possible with Him!
